Nigerian singer-songwriter and producer, Celeste Ojatula, is set to release her new single, “Traveler”, featuring Ghanaian pop sensation, Anabel Rose, on Friday, October 24th, 2025. The single marks a refreshing new phase for the St. Claire Records artiste, following a busy summer that saw her headline the sold-out “Alo Live” concert.
Written and produced solely by Ojatula, “Traveler” blends a pop-tinged groove with her signature guitar plucks and warm harmonies to create a radiant, escapist soundscape. The track captures the essence of adventure and serenity, with Anabel Rose delivering a mesmerising vocal performance that complements Ojatula’s lush instrumentation.
Inspired by a chance encounter with a Brazilian artiste in Lagos, Celeste Ojatula describes the record as a moment of spontaneous creativity. “I wrote this song in about 10 minutes after a conversation I had with this amazing Brazilian artiste who had come into Lagos”, she shared. “I wanted the soundscape to transport you somewhere warm and calm, not like the chaos of Lagos”.
Compared to the darker, moodier tones of previous releases like “Alu Join Join” and “Oluronbi”, the upcoming track, “Traveler”, signals a warmer, more expansive sonic direction for Ojatula. Anabel Rose adds, “The story is so beautiful, I felt like I was in another world”.
