Nadine Ibrahim’s critically acclaimed series, Beyond the Veil, has premiered its second season on the popular streaming app, Amazon Prime Video. The film which stars actors like Jemima Osunde, Nora Ego, Ame Aiyejina, Maryam Booth, Habiba Tanko Zock-Sock, Vine Olugu, Yakubu Mohammed, Caleb Richards, and many others, is available for streaming in Sub-Saharan Africa, the UK, the US, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia’s English-speaking territories.
The series will continue to follow the lives of five Northern women as they navigate modern life, careers, friendships, romances, and the occasional clash of cultures. Season Two picks up right where Season One left off, with Na’Ima (Osunde) recovering from the accident. She’s focusing on her mental and physical therapy, with the support of her friends Badriya (Nora Ego) and Hanifa (Maryam Booth), while also dealing with challenges such as her growing romance with Matthew (Vine Olugu).

While speaking about the series, Ibrahim said, “Beyond the Veil is inspired by the desire to depict Northern Nigerian women in a liberating way. This show offers a refreshing narrative while addressing their realities, from polygamy to cultural restraints. It reflects our modern society and the complex day-to-day realities, pushing boundaries and challenging conventions. This series aims to showcase bold, empowered, and authentic Northern Nigerian women, filling a gap in our storytelling fabric. I’m immensely proud of our work and hope it resonates globally”.

The series was written by Sifa Asani Gowon and Brenda Garuba Ogbuka. It was executively produced by Nadine Ibrahim, Bilal Ibrahim, Nabil Zeitoun, Fareed Zeitoun, and Ishaya Bako.
