Seventeen-year-old Nigerian student, Nafisa Abdullah Aminu, has emerged as the ‘World Best in English Language Skills’ at the prestigious 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals held in London, United Kingdom.

Representing Nigeria through the Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Nafisa Abdullah Aminu outshone over 20,000 participants from 69 countries, a remarkable feat that has earned her global recognition and brought pride to Nigeria’s academic community.

She was accompanied at the global competition by fellow NTIC students, Rukayya Muhammad Fema, who emerged as Best in Debate, and Hadiza Kashim Kalli, who received the Outstanding Talent Award and a gold medal.

The TeenEagle Global Finals is an internationally acclaimed event designed to assess students’ proficiency in English language, critical thinking, and communication skills across both English and non-English speaking nations.

In response to the landmark achievement, Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Education, represented by Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa and Prof. Suiwaba Sa’id Ahmed, described the trio’s performance as a “historic and inspiring” milestone for the country’s education sector.

The students’ achievements have also drawn commendation from prominent political figures, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who applauded Nafisa and her peers for their outstanding representation of Nigeria on the global stage.
