This year’s edition will also include the newly launched AFRIFF Film & Content Market (AFCM) which will run alongside the festival from 3rd to 6th November. The AFCM is intended to develop AFRIFF from a film showcase event to a dedicated marketplace for film designed to facilitate film acquisition and foster collaborations between filmmakers, distributors, and investors.

AFRIFF 2025 will conclude on 8th November with the AFRIFF Globe Awards, the festival’s annual prize-giving ceremony established to honour excellence in African and diaspora cinema across feature films, documentaries, shorts, and animations.
