Detty December Fest has unveiled its first wave of performers for its 2025 edition, with American rappers: Gunna and Busta Rhymes, joining East African star, Juma Jux, and Nigerian singer, Bella Shmurda, as headliners for what is regarded as Nigeria’s biggest year-end cultural festival. This year’s festivities will run from December 6–31 across Ilubirin, Ikoyi, and Livespot Entertarium, Lekki.
American rapper, Gunna, will headline the festival’s second major concert on Friday, December 29, marking his return to Nigeria following his last headline appearance in 2023.
Minister for Health, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, said that “the festival serves as a platform to showcase Nigerian and African talent globally, attract holiday tourism, and support small and medium enterprises involved in production, fashion, food, and hospitality. The government will also work with relevant agencies to enhance safety, mobility, and the overall visitor experience, ensuring both local and international attendees can enjoy the festive season”.
