Before Valentine’s is now available for streaming on Netflix

Nicole Ndigwe’s 2022 Romantic Comedy, Before Valentine’s, has joined the list of Nigerian films getting international recognition and accolades with its winning of the Best Feature Film at the Milan Gold Awards in Italy.
The Milan Gold Awards is an international monthly film festival that allows filmmakers to submit entries every month, and holds a semi-annual live screening competition from the first to the last day of the month.
Directed by Michelle Bello and produced by Ndigwe, Before Valentine’s tells the story of four hairstylists at a Lagos high-class salon, who face romantic and familial dramas as they prepare for the most romantic day of the year – Valentine’s Day.
The movie features an intriguing cast, including Shaffy Bello, Yvonne Jegede, Bolanle Ninalowo, Shawn Faqua, Meg Otanwa, Uche Montana, Baaj Adebule, and former housemates from Big Brother Naija reality show, Elozonam, Teddy A, Venita Akpofure, among others.
The film released on February 11, 2022, earned N5.4 million in its opening weekend, grossing over N22 million in five weeks.
Before Valentine’s is distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, and is currently topping the streaming chart on Netflix in Nigeria.
