South African superstar Tyla has made history at the just-concluded 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards by winning the ‘World Artiste of the Year’ category.

The award show, which celebrates excellent artistry and entertains fans with thrilling performances, announced Tyla as the winner of the newly introduced ‘World Artiste of the Year’ category, edging out Tems, Burna Boy, Central Cee, and YG Marley.
The 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards was held on March 17th at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles to honour the best musicians in the music industry. Other winners include Taylor Swift, Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, GloRilla, Teddy Swims, and Muni Long, among many others.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards is a music awards show that celebrates music heard throughout the year across iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and on iHeartRadio, iHeartMedia’s digital music platform.
The award show, founded by iHeartRadio in 2014, recognises the most popular artistes and music over the past year. Winners are chosen per cumulative performance data, and the public can vote in several categories.
