French-Angolan artiste and producer, Agatchu, has released “Chance”, a tender, bossa nova-inflected single that offers a glimpse into the emotional terrain of his forthcoming sophomore EP, set for release this summer via the renowned French independent label, Play Two.

Written and recorded between Lisbon and Paris, “Chance” sees Agatchu lean into his Afro-Lusophone roots, blending Brazilian musical sensibilities with Angolan Soul. Anchored by a minimal late-night guitar loop, the track unfolds with percussion, ambient textures, and hushed harmonies that frame Agatchu’s introspective vocals in soft clarity.

Thematically, “Chance” is an understated love song, rich with vulnerability and quiet anticipation. It captures the fragile intimacy of offering oneself to another, drawing from the saudade spirit that runs through Lusophone music. Influences from Semba and the wistful poise of Bossa Nova weave through its sonic fabric, which makes space for stillness and reflection.

Since his emergence as a solo artiste in 2024, following years spent behind the scenes as a producer and songwriter, Agatchu has quickly established a reputation as one of the most exciting new voices bridging Afro-Fusion and global pop. With support from platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, BBC 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, Mouv, Générations, and Vevo DSCVR, and standout tracks like “New Maserati” and “Stamina” featuring Joé Dwet Filé, Agatchu’s momentum shows no signs of slowing.
