Nigerian singer Davido has been announced as one of the inductees for the 2026 Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta, joining a group of entertainment figures recognised for their contributions to Black music and culture.
Organisers unveiled Davido as part of the 2026 induction class ahead of the ceremony scheduled for June 1 in Atlanta’s Historic Westside. The Walk of Fame was established by the Black American Music Association and the Georgia Entertainment Caucus to celebrate individuals who have shaped Black entertainment and global music culture.

Davido joins a class that includes Ludacris, Paul S. Morton, and Maynard Jackson. The Nigerian singer also joins late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti among African artistes previously recognised by the organisation.
Since its inauguration in 2021, the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame has honoured several influential figures in Black entertainment, including Beyoncé, Usher, Stevie Wonder, and Mary J. Blige.
Davido’s induction further reflects the growing global recognition of Afrobeats and the increasing visibility of Nigerian artistes within major international cultural institutions.
