The 14th edition of the Kalasha International Film and TV Awards, organised by the Kenya Film Commission, took place on Saturday, 2nd May 2026 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, bringing together key stakeholders across the global film and television landscape to celebrate excellence in Kenya’s screen industries.

The ceremony attracted over 3,000 delegates, 100 exhibitors, and participants from more than 30 countries. It was notably attended for the first time by William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, in the company of Hon. Salim Mvurya, the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy & Sports, and Mr. Fikirini Jacob Kahindi, the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy.

Awards were presented across Film and Television categories, with standout productions earning multiple honours. In particular, Nawi: Dear Future Me, Sukari and Kash Money led the evening as the biggest winners, each with five awards; followed by productions such as Sarah, The People Shall, The Dog, Memory of Princess Mumbi, and Big Girl Small World went away with two each.

Held across four days this year, the event convenes filmmakers and other industry stakeholders from across the world of film and television, creating room for business and trade relations, networking and partnership deals, culminating in the Kalasha Awards on the fourth day.
