Colombian Pop star Shakira and Nigerian Afro-Pop star Burna Boy have collaborated on the official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The song, titled “Dai Dai”, is scheduled for release on May 14 ahead of the tournament, which will be jointly hosted by Mexico, the United States, and Canada. Shakira announced the collaboration through her social media platforms, with the single expected to serve as the official soundtrack for the global football tournament.

The collaboration marks another major international milestone for Burna Boy, who becomes the second Nigerian artiste to feature on an official FIFA World Cup anthem. Davido previously appeared on “Hayya Hayya (Better Together)”, one of the official songs for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, alongside Trinidad Cardona and AISHA.
Burna Boy’s involvement in the 2026 FIFA anthem further reflects the increasing global visibility of Afrobeats within major international cultural and sporting platforms, as Nigerian artistes continue to occupy prominent positions in globally recognised entertainment events.
